Easy enough to replace and install the old unit. The hood is easy to open. Apparently too easy. I opened the hood several times while driving. I tried placing the hood latch a little differently (before you screw it in you have to flex a little in all directions). There are no dice. I think the problem is that the cable itself is a bit shorter than the original which puts more stress on the trigger. This leads to unwanted emissions while driving (humps, wind, etc.). This moment is very annoying. Will keep fiddling with the seats to see if there's a sweet spot. I'll update the review if I can get the hood to stay closed safely.
