Aaaaah I'm so happy with my new skates! They look even better live and I'm impressed with the quality. First Impression: The foot area is similar in appearance and material to a mesh athletic shoe, only thicker and more rigid/supportive. The fit was comfortable right away. I wear a women's size 9 (sometimes 9.5) and my feet are wider than average. The laces were very easy to tighten and the ratchet straps around the ankle are fully adjustable. Note: I have slightly wide calves and sometimes have trouble buying tight-fitting boots. They had enough wiggle room to adjust in all directions. It was difficult for me to tighten the ratchet enough at first, but crossing my legs so I put one foot on the opposite knee made it easier. On my first try, the Cruz 84 felt solid and familiar. I'm picky about fit when it comes to security and they felt very comfortable because they were comfortable and not too stiff. I had no problem getting back into business right away. My ankles felt supported without having to be too tight. and the skates didn't burn my legs, two things that bothered me. I think the specific feminine fit helps. As far as I can tell, they feel smooth and light. I can't think of a single negative quality! Can't wait to get them for a longer test run!
