These lights are well constructed, but suffer in that they do not attach well, and they are not effective as a light only because they lack engineering. They do not attach easily and they extend beyond a reasonable footprint. Thus they are bright, yet overly bulky. If you need a tactical light, these are not the ones that can be used easily. Ease of use extends to the function and function is the only consideration that cannot be ignored. These are well made, but not well designed, and if your light requires you to free a hand to turn it on and off, then these are not for you.
