My first Nite Ize iPhone 7 Plus case lasted over two years before the velcro tab started to lose its stickiness. I was a very happy customer. In the summer of 2018 my wife ordered me a new Nite Ize case (it was the same model as before), in the fall I will start with a new case. After two months of use, the material holding the belt clip to the case failed, and the clip and case eventually separated when I tried to open the Velcro flap. The bag is now useless, there is no way to attach it to a belt. There were also some seam tears on the front of the case, but this defect was minor and did not affect the case's usability. I work in an office and do light housework (like raking leaves, trimming bushes). - the phone case has not been subjected in such a short period of time to an unusual stress that could result in the destruction of the material holding the clip to the case. The new Nite Ize case is vastly inferior to the same case purchased two years earlier. If, as I suspect, there is a design or construction flaw in newer cases, you'll likely see lower review scores (focusing on durability issues) on later purchases than on purchases made in previous years. I encourage you to base your purchasing decision on recent reviews of this previously excellent product. I recently bought a Perilogics case and am using it now - hope it lasts a lot longer than my last Nite Ize case. Crossed fingers!
