I bought the pitcher primarily for making iced tea. I have a hot water dispenser under the sink to fill the pot and then hang the tea bags on the rim. I needed a pitcher that could hold hot water near boiling point without breaking. The information on this product suggested it could work in temperatures from 0 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, so I decided to give it a try. So far it has worked great for this and I actually ordered a second one. I wish the jug was a little bigger but this one fits nicely in the fridge door. In fact, there is room for another jug next to the door. I also have another milk door. What I love is the design of the jug which is superior to other jugs I have looked at without difficulty. The lid fits well and complements the overall design.
