Review on Arcan Adjustable Filter Pliers AOFP12 by Eddie Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I think they are also suitable for filters

Somehow I seem to be getting on in years. I never had a problem with RV drain hoses until they suddenly became a lot stiffer than they used to be in the last year or two. I'm sure that's all. They're different. Either way, this large wrench with built-in 3-position adjustment is the way to go. In the maximum setting, it fits well on the mounts, the handles are placed at a comfortable distance. In fact, I was worried that they might be too big for their intended purpose, but they weren't. My smallest filters are an on-board alternator for an RV and one for an 800cc UTV engine. While the wrench was in its smallest position, it still had a good grip on these very small filters. I still have a filter to grab at the end (it just isn't available any other way), but other than that this key will do all my needs. It offers good grip, distance and leverage and is pretty much in every price range. Like most horticultural and dairy farmers, I've tried many filter wrenches of different designs, but this one seems to be the ultimate winner.
