I think they are also suitable for filters

Somehow I seem to be getting on in years. I never had a problem with RV drain hoses until they suddenly became a lot stiffer than they used to be in the last year or two. I'm sure that's all. They're different. Either way, this large wrench with built-in 3-position adjustment is the way to go. Easy to use, very satisfied!

Over the decades I've lost some money due to various oil filter wrenches not working or not sitting in the right place. I have one of those generic orange plastic oil filter caps, and guess what. She's too fat to fit in. I also have one of those tape clips that slip open, but guess what? There is no place to use it. I've used a slip-joint pipe wrench for decades and just squeeze the filter out of hell to pick it up and take it off. I mean I change the oil anyway, who cares if the oil filter…

I do oil changes and most auto work myself. This is a decent tool for grabbing an oil filter to loosen. I have to say that the teeth on these 12 inch slip on pliers are sharp and could pierce an oil filter. It would be bad for the installation if I caused a tiny leak and didn't notice it until my engine ran out of oil! NOT GOOD! TIP: Oil filters should be hand tightened no more than 1/4 to 1/2 turn with a filter wrench if my grip isn't strong enough. Always ensure the old oil filter gasket is…
