IO Magic products. for DVD-R discs

First off, let me say that I don't work for IO Magic and don't own any of their DVD drives, but I have one of their CD-R/RW drives that got me for 18 months. It was the best little machine I've hooked up to my computer. It's a 52x24x52 drive and I've had absolutely no problems with it. Actually I had more problems with my Iomega Zip drive. I bought it from Best Buy, it was actually a gift and I really loved it. I have never had to contact IO Magic about this drive and am considering purchasing their DVD R/RW. I haven't always had such success with other electronic devices. I worked in a factory that made and assembled circuit boards for electronic devices. I even worked for a company that makes chips for most computers. Although everyone is striving to produce the highest quality products and the quality control is quite strict, there are still some ICs, circuit boards and thus finished products that slip away and are eventually shipped to the consumer and sold. This does not mean that the company itself usually releases a defective product. You can't afford it. I've bought products from Sony, one of the most respected companies in electronics, that wouldn't work as soon as I turned them on. I had to return 2 or 3 products before I received one that worked. I got my sister a GE toaster for Christmas. It caught fire after the second use. GE has always made electronic devices. So keep that in mind if you receive a defective product.
