The disc seems to work well but obviously there is a manufacturing issue, straight out of the box it was the teeth which were chipped off or lying on the side and then varnished This given the price is this Device a bit disappointing but I don't think it had a huge impact on overall functionality. It's not a finely honed plane, a few kinks here and there - it's definitely not the end of the world. So far I've only used it on one project which involved forming a chair seat out of black walnut wood. He removed material quickly and I was able to maintain a good level of control given his inherent barbaric nature. I really feel like the whole problem with proprietary lucky nuts is absurd and needs a solution. The nut should just come with the device or at least be an available add-on in the checkout options instead of forcing people to search for it.
