This cutter works like a charm and is very durable. I was concerned that some reviewers mentioned problems with broken teeth, but after extensive use on hardwoods like white oak, black walnut, hard maple, beech I can't confirm this. My front tooth still has all its teeth. It removes material very quickly, but you have to let it do its job and not let it cut into the wood. This way the cutter will last a very long time and you won't risk kickbacks. :)

Purchased May 2016. The teeth in the 'belly' part of the curve were not as sharp as the other Holey Galahad disc I had previously purchased but was impressed by King told Arthur it was normal. Only used on Poplar and Cherry and now a year later the teeth in the same "belly" area are almost all broken. Very disappointed in what I thought was a quality tool. Maybe a similar Kutzall would be better. Edited April 2019: Yes I was right, Kutzall discs are way, way better!

I clean common logs in a log house and it removes the oxidized layer of wood very quickly and the tool does not clog. The reason it didn't get a five star rating is that the teeth wear out quickly. I used it for 5 hours of grinding and after another 5 hours the teeth are polished to the point where they are unusable. This is an expensive tool that wears out quickly. I would have to buy two more of these tools to get the job done, which is more than I'm willing to invest in grinding tools. Great

This tool works great. I use it to "mold" the wooden seats for four dining room chairs. Two of the chairs have hickory seats and two have walnut seats. After completing the two hickory seats, a lot of wood was put into the instrument. I cleaned it with oven cleaner according to the instructions. The disc seems to work well but obviously there is a manufacturing issue, straight out of the box it was the teeth which were chipped off or lying on the side and then varnished This given the price is this Device a bit disappointing but I don't think it had a huge impact on overall functionality.
