Review on MH10 Rechargeable LED Headlamp By Ledlenser - Outdoor Light For Camping, Hiking & More by Lequon Kirkpatrick

Best headlamp out there

I’m sort of a headlamp collector because my job requires me to work in tight crawl spaces for sometimes months at a time. This headlamp is listed at 600 lumens but I’m telling you, it’s significantly brighter than my 800 and my 1000. I was hesitant to buy a rechargeable and I’m not sure if this is related but this headlamp doesn’t get dimmer as the battery drains. Every other headlamp I’ve owned has done that and I used to carry around 100 packs of AAA’s that get swapped out at half battery life because the light is dimming too much, which is extremely wasteful and always bothered me. Also, I still haven’t managed to run the battery out. It’s so bright that if you’re in a semi dark environment, I’m telling you, you’re going to turn the dimmer down, which means I’ve worn the light for 9 hours with no fluctuations in brightness and the battery was still not drained. It is blindingly bright. I had a $300 caving headlamp that was not as good as this one.Cons: No product is perfect. The headband is a little wonky but not that bad. Could be a little better. Also the controls are pretty different(just read the instructions-twice) and the zoom is very difficult to turn. So difficult that I had to remove it from my head and I was doubtful that I was turning it in the correct direction, but I was acclimated to these shortfalls after using the light for a couple days. If you are going to change the zoom often you might want to see what kind of lubricant you can get in there so it will turn easier but I rarely change it so it hasn’t been much of an issue. Also, this may be a slight defect in mine that is non existent in yours-but something to keep in mind.Im not an expert on these lights but I also don’t know anyone who has owned more of these or that knows more about them. My conclusion here is that this is the best headlamp out there, especially for the money. I’m seeing other sellers claiming 1000 and even 5000 lumens and they’re selling them for $25 or $30. I’ll bet you a Benjamin that they aren’t as bright as this one and I’ll bet you several Benjamin’s that they don’t have the other benefits I’ve pointed out with this headlamp. At that price, they’re throw aways. If you’re looking for a good reliable headlamp and you’re tired of swapping batteries, fluctuating brightness type disposables-buy this one. I get nothing for this review, this may be only the third one I’ve ever left on Ebay. The m-10 light impressed me so much that I believe the manufacturer has earned it.

Pros
  • Purchased as a gift for my son. He loves the amount of charge time and the light adjustment.
Cons
  • Headlamp is not compatible with rechargeable batteries from other brands or models
