When I received the item it looked dirty with scratches. This is the second Microsoft Surface Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter I've bought, the first one I've bought directly from Microsoft and it was exactly as described, I needed another for a second display and it worked Amazon a few dollars cheaper.
