There are two main problems here. First is the problem of how to attach it to the wall. The mounting holes on the back panel are reversed. That said, when installed vertically (top and bottom) I want the cable to hang down. So you have to install it so that the cable goes up and then bend it to get to the connector. The large hole that fits over the head of the slotted screw to slide over the screw and hold it in place is on the back. When mounted vertically with the cable pointing down, the cable will pull the extension down and it will not stay on the wall. The same problem occurs with horizontal installation. If you just install it on the floor, there will be no installation troubles. I used double sided tape to secure this in place. I installed it under a shelf and the cord ran down the wall. In the mounting holes, the end of the cable faces away from the wall. The next problem is that the connectors are too close together. Some cables have a larger connector and fit right in between.
