Review on πŸ”§ Grey Denso 234-9009 Oxygen Sensor by Brandon Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

1999 Lexus RX300 - Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Works like a charm!

My 1999 Lexus RX300 received CEL (P0125, P1030, P1033 and P1035). Read the stories on ClubLexus and make sure that Denso 234-9009 is a perfect match for Bank 1 Sensor 1 (behind the firewall, access from under the car). Removing the plug is the biggest work. Use a wire puller to hold part of the sensor connector up, press the tab on the right connector and release relatively easily. Jacked up passenger side, got under the car and sprayed PB Blaster Penetrating Oil on the threads of the old sensor, waited a few minutes and was able to easily remove it with an O2 sensor removal tool. I applied the anti-seize compound that came with the kit to the threads of the new sensor and installed it. Total time required no more than 30 minutes! I disconnected the negative battery terminal for a few minutes then started the engine and the codes didn't come up again! Check out the photos posted in the image section. This sensor works with bank 1 sensor 1 (in front of the catalytic converter, access from below the vehicle) and bank 2 sensor 1 (between engine and radiator, access from above). Note: For extra safety when working under the vehicle, the use of two jacks is recommended. PB Blaster: Blaster 16-PB Penetration Catalyst - 11 oz. O2 Sensor Tool: Powerbuilt 648691 Oxygen Sensor Bias Remover Update: February 16, 2014 Check Engine Light (CEL) is off and mileage has increased. My car registration is imminent and it has to pass the SMOG inspection. I will update my review with test results.
