I also had trouble sliding the beanbag around and off the dashboard and I solved this problem in two ways: by attaching Velcro strips to the underside of the beanbag and dashboard or by running a small elastic cord from the defroster vent at the bottom of the windshield to the air conditioner vent at the front of the dashboard and slide the end of the rattle under the cord. On a hot day you will need to remove the velcro rattle while the car is parked as the glue on the velcro can become sticky and slip off under the weight of the rattle. That being said, both worked well, although not particularly aesthetically pleasing. You also need to be careful with the teeth in the cradle of the device. After years of carrying mine in a suitcase to use in rental cars, the teeth are out of line and not making good contact with the IQue. It was a handy device though, but I think if I swap it out I'll try the suction cup option.
