Good but great after mods

Worked well after a few mods Most RV rear bumpers can't support more than 100 pounds. And if you have, for example, an 80-pound bike rack and bikes on it, and you're driving on rough roads (I-40 in Arizona), the rack and bikes will wobble a little, putting extra stress on the bumper. This can become a dangerous situation for those behind you if the bumper fails and you lose your bikes. After a few YouTube videos I decided to do the following: 1. Added aluminum spacers between the screws and both threads. Otherwise, the bold typeface will rub against the bumper. 2. Drilled and welded a 5/8" nut on the underside of the hitch receiver. I used a bolt to add vertical tension to the bike rack. The bike rack already comes with a horizontal bolt that does the same thing. The bike rack is secured with no wobble = less stress on the bumper hinges.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
