Can't wait to use it

After installing the safety stays, this was the next thing to install. I had to tap the center of the bumper with a hammer. Nuts are tightened to 120 ft lbs as instructed. Looks great! Will update after a ride this summer to see if it flexes the tubes like others have posted on their little square 4x4 bumpers.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • unreliable

Sturdy, light but needs some adjustment

Easy to install and looks pretty solid. I had to file the inside of the receiver to use it. As others have pointed out, make sure your bumper is strong enough for what you are mounting. In my caravan I thought it might be strong enough but I was wrong. 2 bikes bouncing down the street will cause the bumper to flex and remain slightly flexed. This bumper issue is not related to the product sold here.

Rugged and easy to install

This is a solid 2" bumper mount receiver. My unit had one side 1/16" smaller which made installation more difficult but still worked. The bolts used for this assembly are also designed for high loads. I used black tape on my bumper under the bolts to protect the bumper from abrasion from the bolt threads. Installation took about 10 minutes (it would be even less if both sides of the device were the same width).

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Misworked: Receiver

Looks very solid but was not properly finished/welded so not suitable for me. The hole for the receiver pin is vertical and not horizontal on the part I received. So if I installed this part on my trailer's 4" bumper, I would never be able to install the pin to secure anything. I'm surprised it passed every quality. control, but the color also seems to be good. I could drill new holes horizontally but I don't have a drill big enough and that seems crazy for the price I paid. Back for a refund…

Doesn't quite fit

It took me a long time to figure out how to rate this. Overall it feels solid and well-made, but there's one big and annoying problem: it's too snug against the bumper. The first part goes fine, but it gets stuck about halfway through, and the only way to get it onto the bumper was to "hit the iron". At first I thought my bumper might be the problem, but I've tried several different places and always get the same result. The hammer hit works, but it's really hard to move, remove or adjust, and…

Good product! - Hitch

This is exactly what I was looking for to hang a hitch basket on the rear bumper of my 4X4 trailer. I marked a star because the vertical plates were not welded parallel on the first piece we received; As a result, it did not slide on the bumper. Revain completed the replacement quickly and the second element was installed correctly within minutes. On a side note, the factory rear bumpers on most RVs and RVs are very light and not designed to support much weight other than a spare wheel carrier.

  • Great Price
Cons
  • Not sure

The box was unsealed and open and the clutch was crooked

The box was completely unsealed and open so anyone could steal the contents. And it was obvious that there was no tape or anything to try to close the box. I even videotaped myself getting ready to pick up the box because I was so shocked it was completely loose. Upon installation we then discovered that the part was mismanufactured and the dimensions were incorrect, causing it to be crooked where the bumper goes. The husband had to nail it to the bumper and work hard to make it work. I would…

Good but great after mods

Worked well after a few mods Most RV rear bumpers can't support more than 100 pounds. And if you have, for example, an 80-pound bike rack and bikes on it, and you're driving on rough roads (I-40 in Arizona), the rack and bikes will wobble a little, putting extra stress on the bumper. This can become a dangerous situation for those behind you if the bumper fails and you lose your bikes. After a few YouTube videos I decided to do the following: 1. Added aluminum spacers between the screws and…

One happy camper! on receivers

Exactly what I was looking for. I can now transport our bikes in the back of our 24ft camper instead of our F150 short body. It's much easier to load a truck with larger camping gear when the truck bed becomes empty. I have found that the hitch fits snugly against the trailer bumper with little to no tolerance so there is no movement once tightened. I sprayed some silicone spray on the hitch and bumper, then jacked up the bottom with a jack and board to protect the hitch trim to ensure it fully

Pros
  • Stable results when tested
