Review on Bodum Bistro Maker Programmable Coffee Machine with Borosilicate Glass Carafe, 12 Cup, 51 oz, Black - Model 11754-01CA by Tracy Lazalier

Just used my new Bodum coffee maker for the first time. While it looks great and scores well for design, there are some features that make it less than ideal to use. The carafe cannot completely fill the tank, which is to be expected. The downside seems to lie precisely in the way the decanter was designed. There are also two buttons. There is a power button next to where the power cord connects to the car, and there is another button next to the digital clock. Confusion reigns everywhere. On the other hand, I was very impressed with the easy cleaning of the permanent coffee filter. You don't need to buy any coffee filters at all. A design feature that I thought would have been great turned out to be pretty much useless. The upper part of the machine is made of clear plastic, so you can theoretically watch the brewing process - water pours onto the coffee grounds. However, the steam from the heated water creates a lot of condensation, making this neat feature difficult to see.
