So far as good as the best coffee maker

Looks good, easy to use - I don't care for a coffee maker with a million keys to make a clean cup of tea and that fits. I love the design and quality of Bodum products, especially the clear lid and dripper. It collects condensation, but unless you have hard water it's not a dream killer that a paper towel can't solve. lasts almost a year (does not knock and does not fall!). I accidentally left coffee in when I was out of town and there was mold on the stainless steel strainer (and probably…

Looks good but could be better

Just used my new Bodum coffee maker for the first time. While it looks great and scores well for design, there are some features that make it less than ideal to use. The carafe cannot completely fill the tank, which is to be expected. The downside seems to lie precisely in the way the decanter was designed. There are also two buttons. There is a power button next to where the power cord connects to the car, and there is another button next to the digital clock. Confusion reigns everywhere. On…

Excellent coffee pot for the price

I am a Kyurig lover. I liked having a freshly brewed cup whenever I wanted. The environmental and financial costs (we drink a lot of coffee and the cups are expensive) got out of hand last fall, so I packed up and bought a $10 brew kettle from Walmart. It worked well, but it took forever to brew, and if I didn't get a cup within 15 minutes, it always burned and tasted stale. That really upset me. Fast forward to March and I decided to buy a medium quality pot for my birthday. The reviews for it

Solid Daily drip coffee maker

This is our second Bodum Bistro coffee maker. We brew 12 full cups of coffee every day, 365 days a year. Our first one was still working after 2 1/2 years, but it had a few issues which I'll address later. Pros: Simple and stable filter coffee machine. Easy to use. Stainless steel strainer (paper filters are not required, but some may not like very fine coffee grounds at the bottom of the pot). The design of the showerhead distributes the water more evenly over the ground coffee than some other

Pros
  • Useful not just for its intended purpose
Cons
  • sad packaging
