Not a bad price, a few caveats - tricky install, good customer service so far

I bought a custom Camry PX6 15-17 after YT's video made the install quick and easy. Please note that I am experienced but not a pro, so while a beginner can do this with the right tools and attention to detail, don't rush - don't rush. If you don't do it every day, it's not a two hour job. From about 4pm I had sound at 7am but I continued to hunt for insects for an hour. The device is technically plug and play, but some connections are not obvious on this Camry model and can easily be overlooked the first time. Clamps and trim can break, so be careful. The final fit is imperfect, but not terrible. A minimal, wallet-sized manual is easy to overlook. Minimal manual troubleshooting, both with incomplete Chinese to English translations, which is common with Chinese products. installation instructions. Leaving the bottom foam in the box, unpack the unit just enough to secure the wire harness and place the box in front of the disassembled dashboard, the semi-wrapped unit face down on the foam inside the box. This keeps it stable when sorting the connection points and prevents possible damage to the device and wiring. I rolled up the GPS antenna cable and placed the receiver in a duct between the dashboard vents, which improved reception through the speaker grille at the top. JBL equipped Camrys may not allow this. I used everything that came in the kit except for an external microphone - the built-in one will do. The antenna, the Toyota USB adapter and the connector for the rear camera (at least on my model) were easy to miss. Take your time and review the features before assembling the dashboard - you'll thank me later. If the heating or air conditioning needs to be turned on for comfort, also turn it off while the HVAC controls are disabled, otherwise the airbag light will come on. Mine came back, but it probably installed some code that we'll explain later. These controls easily detach from the OEM unit for easy reconnection, while the rest is disassembled with just a few screws. Because I missed these connections, I had problems at first. The rear camera was not working (RCA connector disconnected) and while the radio only gave interference (antenna disconnected), Bluetooth connected but no sound at all. Not sure what was interfering with the sound (BT phone volume maybe) but this issue surfaced later after it worked - not sure why. At midnight I was able to enjoy it with some adjustments to the settings, but it would have been a 4 hour job even if there weren't any hiccups. While I'm not sure if the sound is any better than the OEM unit, advanced EQ and DSP tuning improves it, and individual speaker level adjustment is possible with more than 4 speakers. Accessing the OEM car's customization options is a pleasant surprise, albeit through the stock Android interface. A note: Built-in wireless CarPlay needs to be disabled and Easy Connect needs to be enabled for screen mirroring. He can't do both. The seller explained this very quickly and informatively, although I'm not sure if he was aware of some of the caveats. First, mirroring on this device requires a proprietary app. Supposedly it's WiFi or USB, but so far only USB has worked, and until I disabled CarPlay it didn't work at all. Second, touching any screen would turn the device off, so keeping it in landscape mode was a bit difficult with the auto-rotate feature. And for my purposes of mirroring the taximeter app while driving, "Allow watch video while driving" must be enabled, otherwise the screen will be blank when the parking brake is released. So mirroring is supported, but it's imperfect and requires compromises and gimmicks. In addition, the Easy Connect app must be installed on both the device and the duplicate device. Installing apps from the Play Store is easy thanks to hotspot access. Note that some OEM features may not be available with OEM hardware when it's obvious, but once you get the hang of it you'll get used to it. Overall I'm giving it 4 stars at the moment. I say 4 stars is good considering I'm still sorting things out. It's a pretty good bang for your buck, if a little fiddly to install and set up. Not perfect, but Halo 11 is twice the price and I'm not sure Halo 11 has the same features. Depending on how things develop I may upgrade to 5 stars and review, but mirroring errors are an issue for me.
