This is a well made, easy to install LED. The casing is steel. The light diffuser is, of course plastic. The device needs to be hard wired. No Plug. I do minor electrical and had to mount this to an existing light fixture. Used a 1/2" Romex connector to complete the path. Then used some self-tapping screws to mount the LED light to the round fixture. Done in 20 minutes. I like the light color 4k. It also does a nice job spreading the light to fill the area.I'd buy again, and probably will as the closet I installed this in could use just another of these to really fill the walk in closet.
