This is a ridiculously cute backpack, but be aware that the average size is not appropriate for a school that uses a 1/2 inch binder or requires a standard kindergarten folder. /1. It's almost impossible to close it. If you ship your child with a travel-style water bottle like the standard camelback infant carrier, it's a very tight fit that takes a lot of wear and tear on the mesh pockets. Again, it's super cute, my kid loves it, the quality is great, but it's not particularly practical for friendly people. If your child has a home binder to take to and from school, I highly recommend taking a larger one.
