These were great cases at a reasonable price but I had to check the sizing. Models 0 to 5 cover a variety of tire sizes, they were all listed on the packaging so I didn't have to put them on the wheel to realize I had the wrong size selected. I needed "3" but I got "1". Guilty. Next time! Vinyl is thin, but since the goal is to protect the tire from UV rays, it will work until it doesn't, and thin cotton-based vinyl is likely to remain as flexible as thicker ones. And of course, the thinner it is, the less it weighs, which is nice. The two lids, each with a front, top, sides, and elasticated back, probably weigh a few pounds together.
