Edit: Once turned off the clock and now it doesn't keep time as other reviewers say. It lasted less than 2 months after I was initially happy with it. I bought this for my wife to replace an old alarm clock. I bought it mainly for the multiple charging ports on the front, perfect for your phone, tablet and smartwatch. The numbers are bright and easy to see, and there are 2 settings if you want them to be less bright. She doesn't use an alarm clock, so I can't rate that part. In general we like it.
