I needed a truck rack that could be easily installed and removed when needed. The shelves arrived on time and in good condition. The instruction manual was for a bolt-on mount, not the clip-on version that I wanted. However, the kit gives you the option of bolting it on (i.e. drilling holes in your truck bed) or using clips. Installing the cotton on the rack only took about 45 minutes. Very easy to assemble and install. The stand was very stable and easily secured my son's 11 foot paddleboard. The only downside to this rack is that the metal will rust very quickly from days of exposure to the elements. Of course I live on an island and the salty air prevails. My neighbor advised me to paint to minimize rusting on the posts. For the price I think it's good for my purposes. Let's hope the paint job will extend the life of truck trunks. If you plan on keeping the racks on your truck permanently, I would recommend spending the extra money on a higher quality rack (aluminum or stainless steel).
