These original Magic Sliders do exactly what they say: glide across carpets. There are many fakes out there, some of which work just fine, but this is still the original. The top has a sticky coating that helps keep it in place. I use the little ones on an office chair at work that was very difficult to move: now it slides like it has wheels. Sometimes the sticky part comes off and I have to reattach it, but that's only because the bottom of the chair legs are hollow and there's nothing to "stick" to. The price is more than justified, especially when you consider the type of back injuries that can cause both pain and expense. Probably every item in the house should have this below!
