accurate and easy to use
I bought this to scald breast milk before freezing. With a probe this long, you can safely check the temperature of milk by heating it in a saucepan of boiling water. Compared to the Fisherbrand mercury thermometer and the electronic meat thermometer I just bought, all 3 were within 0.5C at different temperatures. I plan to leave it in ice water and eventually test boiling water to confirm.
