It's so accurate and so fast. This makes our 4th grade science experiments an easy task. It is very easy to read and use for little kids without risking any data. Thumbs up!

I love the tilt function, I've also dipped it in boiling wort (beer) and it came out alive after drying it without a battery. Holy cow! I wish there was a metal clip instead of a clip on the long sleeve.

I really liked the swivel head, you can see that it is of high quality. Compared to a laboratory thermometer and within 0.3 degrees when tested with a Thomas digital thermometer. Stop buying a cheap digital thermometer stick, buy this one.

I bought this to scald breast milk before freezing. With a probe this long, you can safely check the temperature of milk by heating it in a saucepan of boiling water. Compared to the Fisherbrand mercury thermometer and the electronic meat thermometer I just bought, all 3 were within 0.5C at different temperatures. I plan to leave it in ice water and eventually test boiling water to confirm.

In the beginning the thermometer worked very well, both at oF and oC. After 3 days it stopped working. Poor quality battery but the thermometer would only turn on when the battery was hand held. When you put the cover back on it didn't work. Difficult to use a thermometer that requires you to hold/squeeze the battery with your hand. I think the design and the quality of the materials used need to be improved. The idea is good, that's why I give 2 stars, not 1.

Pros: I don't have to be as careful with this as I am with my (late) mercury thermometer. Very fast response in liquids, about 10 seconds to stabilize the reading. Accurate, ice bath: 32.0F, boiling pasta water: 212.0F. Better than I expected from the specs. Cons: The tip is almost too sensitive. Purchased for accurate readings in a 10 gallon aquarium. Could test any point in the water volume with a 12 inch probe. Looked very responsive and settled down for a few seconds while reading. Allegedly traceable, but no certificate. I think you have to trust the ads. The temperature correlates well with the temperature reading on the digital aquarium thermostat...a difference of about 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit.

This thermometer shows the temperature quickly. and that's good ! What's not great is the plastic construction and the tiny buttons that are cumbersome and difficult to reach. The LCD should be larger and there should be a backlight when activated. A particularly bad problem is that it is not moisture resistant.
