Review on Kidde Hardwired Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector with Battery Backup & Voice Alert - Interconnect Combination Alarm by Michael Kosack

So in early September we bought 5 of these to replace all the obsolete smoke alarms in our house. In general, we saw the reviews and although it was a good option. They were easy to put on and looked beautiful. They seemed to be working fine when suddenly one of them started tweeting and yelling at us about low battery. That was strange as their detectors only worked for about 7 or 8 weeks. All of us are wired and properly installed, so no battery should be drained. I removed the batteries, replaced them and restarted the device as recommended by the manufacturer. That worked for 5 minutes. Then the terrible chirping began again. I can only assume that we received a bad block. That being said, I contacted Kidde support via email and they sent a new unit straight away. I think Kidde's quick and considerate response as a company was good, so I'm not giving a bad review, but ***WARNING*** the low battery issue I've seen in some other reviews as well. 4/5 still work as expected.
