Review on πŸ’§ WQ105 Water Quality Test Kit by Pamela Pickett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well to get baselines

I did this test to see how a whole house water filter works. The fact that it included two tests per test was great as I needed to test exactly that before and after the filter. The tests were easy to use and quickly gave me basic values of any potential contamination. I say "base level" because that's all you can expect from this kit. It won't tell you exactly how much is in your water, but you should know what area you are in. In some cases it can be a bit difficult to determine which color corresponds to the stripe; but it was pretty obvious for most tests. The only tests in this kit were: pH, Alkalinity, Chlorine, Hardness (this was the hardest to read), Iron, Copper, Nitrate and Nitrite. Anyone expecting other tests will be disappointed. As other reviewers have pointed out, "bonus tests" is a form of scam, but thanks to their information I was aware of this before ordering. In terms of quality, the instructions in my kit were printed in color as opposed to another reviewer who said it was in black and white. One of the copper tests was not properly attached to the strip and just spilled ink instead of giving a valid reading. Overall I would recommend this kit if you just want to know the main pollution levels without spending a lot of time or money. If you don't expect accurate results and you know in advance that "bonus tests" are fake, you will probably be happy with this product.
