Avoid torque wrenches and stripped threads

Don't pull out a torque wrench or worry about stripped threads on aluminum pans. The lid closes tightly but does not leak. Found that the oil plug on my used motorcycle had ripped off. I tried it with a big fork but it just didn't cut. Instead of cutting a new thread or inserting a spiral coil I decided to try this. It matched what was left of my threads perfectly and I used JB heat weld on the threads (after degreasing) to hold it in place and prevent leaks. . A few months later not a drop came out. I also checked the oil drain mechanism and it is very simple. Will update when mechanism fails as it feels a bit complicated inside but so far I'm thrilled.
