Great concept but via a leak.

Only installed in the winter and there was already a small leak. I installed it correctly and didn't want to drain the oil just to fix a small leak. Coming home now that it's warmer outside, I found a huge mess of oil in my driveway. Now I need to change the oil and see if I can find a better way to seal it or go back to the factory plug. I also need to buy cleaning supplies to remove the oil from the driveway. I am not happy with this purchase and there seems to be no way for me to return it.

Made in America, owned by a veteran and is the best DIY invention

The greatest invention for self-care. After checking the oil filter that was installed on the quick grease point on my last oil change and realizing it was oversized and bolted on so tightly that I had to damage it to remove it, I figured that was it, nothing more change the oil yourself. After looking at this little kid I decided to order this, an OEM oil filter and Revain Basics 5w20. Installation couldn't be easier, and the price I paid for a UPI SN Plus rated oil (higher than the red line)…

Avoid torque wrenches and stripped threads

Don't pull out a torque wrench or worry about stripped threads on aluminum pans. The lid closes tightly but does not leak. Found that the oil plug on my used motorcycle had ripped off. I tried it with a big fork but it just didn't cut. Instead of cutting a new thread or inserting a spiral coil I decided to try this. It matched what was left of my threads perfectly and I used JB heat weld on the threads (after degreasing) to hold it in place and prevent leaks. . A few months later not a drop…

Oil cleaner replaces Nice Concept

Bought this to try on my 2016 Town and Country. (I love gadgets and tools) Since I now do my own oil changes. I used to take it to a Chrysler dealership and pay $80 for synthetic oil. I decided to do it myself, but the head of the oil plug had snapped off and I couldn't unscrew the plug. I had to get a special tool to remove it and put in a new factory plug. I'm not even sure they did. Then I saw this online so I ordered it and installed it on my van. Now it's time to wait for the next oil…

Where have you been all my life

This is a great little product. saw it mentioned on the Scotty Kilmer Mechanic channel. At first I was put off by the price, then I started reading other people's reviews and most seem to have problems with oil leaks. This one appears to be very well made and has multiple seals to prevent leakage. I bought it on Scotty's recommendation. I first bought one for my van but I had to buy another before this one was used on my Kia. Until I poured out the oil and see no oil leak. The oil change…

Great product! Engine Parts

Please take this review with caution. I replaced the oil drain plug with this product, clean installation. After about a month I noticed a very small leak (not enough to ever be a nuisance, but a leak nonetheless). So I re-tightened the valve and unfortunately, somehow less noticeable, the leak is still there. Not knowing if the threads on the oil pan are worn (although the old plug never had that small a leak), I can't say for sure if it's a truck or product issue. The threads are the correct…

not for me on Engine Parts

I finally had the opportunity to change the oil and install this oil valve on my 2012 GTI and first of all I have to use a know-a-way 15/16 open end wrench to knowing what torque is acting on it other than feeling. I have to apply enough torque to mine to crush the washer enough that it forms a seal and is a soft metal like stainless steel and the load tube shears. The threaded portion of this device is too short. As soon as the oil warmed up, drops began to drip from the threads, which is…
