Review on 🔧 ValvoMax Stainless Oil Drain Valve - Tool-Free, Mess-Free, Rapid Drain - M14-1.50 with Stainless Drain Hose Attachment by Bruce Marable

Please take this review with caution. I replaced the oil drain plug with this product, clean installation. After about a month I noticed a very small leak (not enough to ever be a nuisance, but a leak nonetheless). So I re-tightened the valve and unfortunately, somehow less noticeable, the leak is still there. Not knowing if the threads on the oil pan are worn (although the old plug never had that small a leak), I can't say for sure if it's a truck or product issue. The threads are the correct match and pattern, I just think a better quality washer or possibly thread sealant is needed before installation. This was done on 04 F250. I hope to be able to fix this error at the next oil change. Please note that the leakage is due to poor sealing and is very small; that's a few drops a month. Not enough to ever affect the oil level. I still think this is a great product but some vehicles may require additional pre-installation preparation. I never fixed it with sealant, just tightened another 10 foot-pounds and it has never leaked again. This is a great product and the only one I would recommend. I've done several oil changes since installing it and it's been nothing but perfect.
