I love my cats and don't like playing with their junk. The Trash Genie is an amazing system as it minimizes odors, spills and trips to the bin. However, and this is a BIG BUT, the poles are overpriced, they use plastic, etc. The biggest problem for me was that many of the poles are defective: they are folded in half and the starting end is hidden somewhere inside the pole . So you can try to use it as is - folded in half - but it's a waste of money and plastic, and the gin bucket doesn't close properly with that extra layer of plastic. It is also possible to pull out the entire bag until the end is found and then either cut it to suitable lengths or try to return it to be refilled. However, this contradicts the real purpose of the product - convenience. For a while, Revain had some clone brands that were cheaper and didn't have this problem. The clones I tried had thinner plastic, but they still did their job. These brands had a sticker or pull tab at the end so you could easily pull out and tie the bag shut, making it easier to use. Now all those brands seem to be gone, and the original brand that was supposed to set the standard that all imitators aspire to SHIT. Litter Genie Company: Could you solve this problem? I see so many reviews saying the same thing about the defect and yet it persists. I want to keep using Litter Genie in my litter boxes; this greatly simplifies their cleanliness. This is one of those products that has improved my life. Why can't you put a tag at the end? This is incredibly frustrating. Good emails and coupons cannot be repaired. Just FIX FIX it.
