More expensive than running wires, but MUCH easier. I'm using this to send security video from a Network Video Recorder (NVR) to a monitor located in a hard to reach cable location. The previous DVR security system provided composite video and there was already a spare pair of cables (Cat5) in the wall. The new HD video system does not have a composite video connection. I've been using an HDMI to composite video converter for a while, but after upgrading all my monitors to HD, it's time to ditch the adapter. Other monitors were connected with HDMI cables - this location was problematic. This wireless HDMI system from ActionTec has been running 24/7 for a few months. Setup was easy. The instruction is clear. The equipment provided was easy to use.
