Review on πŸ”§ ECOGARD XF10307 Premium Diesel Fuel Filter for Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L DIESEL (2014-2018) by Nicholas Peters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just exchanged for a second pair - no problem

Bought four about a year ago. When I swapped two, they look exactly like the original parts. A year later I changed it again. After a year they look the same as the original filters. I had no leaks or signs of a fuel system malfunction. If you plan on modifying your own, do so. This is an easy way to get a few hundred dollars from a dealer and takes about fifteen minutes. The filters are in the middle, just below your right elbow. Crawl under the drip pan and unscrew the yellow drain plug until diesel fuel comes out. Wait for it to drain, just a few minutes. Unscrew the old filters with a head the same size as the oil filter. I rub the o-rings of the new ones out of the filter with some diesel, not sure if it's necessary, but it screwed them in easily. Screw them in. Screw in the drain plug. Switch on the ignition to start without pressing the brake pedal. Make sure the gurgling stops and the fuel pump does not drop as it will be stressed as the pressure builds up. Turning the ignition off twice and waiting each time, it worked for me. Then light it up. My first few starts were slower than usual. The third start after ten miles was normal, almost instantaneous.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
