Because I have a diverse fleet of vehicles that don't all follow the same pattern, I had to run them from an outside source. Auto, it's a nuisance to take it out and remember to put it back in (and put it back in charged!) so I chose external sealed batteries for my jump process. So much cheaper. However, these small sealed batteries have no life indicator unless a multimeter is used to read the voltage. My little Kingbolen battery tester solves all these problems. Now I can see how low they are and be sure they're fully charged when the charger says so. Don't waste my time trying to get power from a dead or dying battery. Using the charger couldn't be easier. Choose your battery's voltage, your battery's location (inside or outside the vehicle), choose the type of measurement (amp-hours, inrush currents, etc.) and test. The battery tester only takes a second to show you the results you have received. The results are accurate and repeatable, I even changed the way I attached the clamps and still got the same reading. The photos show the battery dead, charged and the other device fully charged.
