Review on Texas Hold'em Claytec Poker Chip Set - 11.5g, 500 Striped Dice Chips, Aluminum Case by Steven Hudson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does what it's supposed to do with a little tweaking.

This was in good condition when it arrived. There are no dents or scratches on the metal. None of the chips or cards are damaged. CARDS: The manufacturer should save the 10 cents he spent making two decks of cards in a box because I wouldn't force my worst enemy to use those cheap Go Fish cards. BUTTONS: The dealer, big blind, and small blind buttons are great. Clean and smooth, with smooth text. I wish manufacturers had weighted card tops that weren't decorated with chips. CHIPS (good): That's the right color split for me and our home games. These chips have no value, so you can score them exactly how you want. This means you can use them in both cash games and tournament play alike. I recommend printing out a player cheat sheet that gives each chip a colored block with a value next to it - at least until you all get used to it. CHIP (Bad): Chips have the surface of their dice shielded. While the dotted line near the center and the side flaps print correctly, the dice are almost all wrong. The sample image shown here in the listing shows the bones being aligned like real ones. 1v6, 2v5, and 3v4. I ended up with a few gaps and fake facial bones. Off-center prints, missing dots, etc. The game pieces would look better if the dots on the dice were eliminated entirely. (See photos)
