I never buy haggis. Merged with my first son, merged with my nephew. I always buy LUVs and they are the best, but the smallest size I could find was a 1. My second son was under five pounds when we left the hospital. Pampers Premie diapers are oddly shaped, so we wore them until they were big enough for newborn Pampers size. It's now our favorite size 1 and we've had no more flushing and a lot fewer leaks. Tl; dr: The absorbency is well below average, especially for the price. They break down, leaving fibers on the child's genitals. But they fit better than diapers, so if you have a very small baby that's too small for newborn diapers, I think they will fit.
