I have planted several Jalapeno plants over the years and when using them in recipes that required removing the seeds it took a long time. I got tired of using a paring knife and stumbled upon this little device while looking for an easier option. This is a great kitchen tool and works well. There are no problems with jalapenos, probably because the size of the tool and the thickness of the skin make it better suited to the task. Hence the reason why it is called jalapeno cleaner right? For the most part, this also works with other peppers that are similar in shape to jalapenos. I've also used it for Hungarian waxy hot peppers and it works well but tends to tear the skin. Overall, this is a great kitchen tool that seems sturdy enough to last for many years.
