Bought this by recommendation from a professional baby sleep trainer. It says on all night and is small and holds a charge if needed (but I leave it plugged in). I like that it has multiple sounds/tones including ocean, rain and babbling brook in addition to white noise. Been using it for a few months now and it's great. Keeps the noise from the house and older kids from waking the baby. It puts me to sleep too!Update one year later: the sound machine stopped working approximately one year after purchase. It has gotten a lot of use.every night for a year plus nap times and sometimes we forgot to turn it off. I reduced my rating by one star for the short life span.
