The cameras are offset by 90 degrees compared to other more expensive versions. (sometimes important)

Cameras are offset 90 degrees compared to other more expensive versions. This can be important if you really can't make any proper adjustments to the final rendered product, or if you want the aspect ratio to match the desired orientation for large formats. For my use case as a camera for mounting on a 3D printer. Many of them. I have a housing and a mount for this housing that orients the camera in the expected way. Flipping an image is easy and most code examples have it, but few have a way to do a 90 degree shift inline. So what I get in OctoPrint is that I can rotate it by 90, but since the camera's aspect ratio doesn't rotate, you have a tall image instead of a wide image. Not optimal. I suspect this is due to some sort of marriage in production and hence the price is so low. Probably just the camera itself, but I bought the bundle and the cost only goes up if I need a new camera to get it right. All in all you should have good success with this as long as you know it in advance or it doesn't impact your overall design/expected use case.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not sure
