Review on Dorman VVT Solenoid 917-210 for Scion/Toyota Models - Engine Variable Valve Timing Enhancer by Wayne Ohlrogge

Installation is easy, my removal wasn't as easy as some say. There are few videos or information on how to replace this part. I replaced mine because I was stretching the power steering belt and ended up breaking the black connector. In my removal process, the outer metal magnet broke. So the gray plastic part stayed in the engine. I used a light drill, or you might call it a reverse thread drill, and turned it by hand and then maybe gave it another turn or two and then got it out of the motor. No damage, no foul. This part fitted well and after 2 cycles the check engine light went out.
