luckily the owl is much bigger than I expected. Looks tiny in the photo but is much larger in reality. My office door is incredibly heavy so I was worried it wouldn't be able to support the weight of the door but of course it holds it up well with no hesitation or difficulty. The wedge that goes under the door is of good thickness. So if the door is close to the ground or high enough and there is a significant gap between the ground and the door, this little owl stopper will still help. My only complaint, and it's not even a complaint, is that the thick part of the wedge is so thick that the owl doesn't fit the door as hoped. I wouldn't call this a complaint though as I consider the quality itself a bonus as many of the doors in my job require the extra wedge thickness. I say when in doubt, bite the bullet and catch this little guy. It's cute as can be, ideal for large and heavy doors. If you're looking for something small and dainty, this might not be your type, but for a big, heavy door, it really fits. He has already caused a stir in the office!
