Today I finally learned how to use it to drill holes in ground mortar. When I was done, the carbide tip still showed sharpening marks and the cutting edge was still sharp, so I decided to experiment. I drilled a hole in a beer bottle with a cordless drill in one hand while holding the bottle on the table with the other. I got a relatively clean hole and didn't crack the bottle. The drill is still sharp. I am happy. The reason I took off a star is because they advertised wood drilling! I know better, so they should. PS I tried it to be sure.
