I bought this tool because it was similar to the one I used when I was doing a lot of transmission work in the 1980's. I've always known him so it wasn't an easy purchase. I just recently built a high compression big block Chevy and wanted to check the OT because I use a billet aftermarket timer. The tool works as good as anything I've ever used, I didn't break it so that's good. So I would recommend this tool if you need to crank the engine in a car. just a word of caution, make sure the teeth engage the tool all the way or you might skin the knuckles a few times. PS: Don't forget to remove the spark plugs when trying to start a high displacement/high compression engine. To update; I loaned this instrument to someone and we both lost it so I bought it again and the first instrument bought was found soon after. New to me, first for a friend who borrowed it.
