I think the advertising that the bag is compostable is a bit misleading, but the packaging says it's not suitable for composting in the garden. Unfortunately, I don't have a municipal composting facility nearby. The first few bags on the roll also had some blemishes (small holes) which I noticed when I put the bag in the bin. Can't say I didn't call them but then I would have thought the bags were fragile as all I did was take them off the reel and throw them in the bin. My trash can says it has a 5.3 gallon capacity and these bags are barely big enough to put in the trash can lest they fall in during use because they don't have much brim but the bags fit not on the floor . They're not bad, but I'll look for something that can actually compost in my backyard bin and hopefully be a bit larger for the rated capacity and more durable.
