So main drawback won't last long on batteries. Even with alarm disabled it drains battery within 3 to 4 days.Alarm is loud atleast in apartment environment. You probably won't hear it as loud for anything that is from outside to inside. Like your garage to your inside bedroom. But your phone gets alert and it might loud of deterrent to scare someone breaking in.It does come with power cable. Unit is slightly big but can be mounted using screw in the back.
