I needed a remote control for 2 used TVs I just bought and it's certainly easier to get a universal remote than trying to get an original remote for an old Toshiba -model (2008/ 9). The feedback was encouraging and now I'm adding mine to the group. Insert your batteries, point to the TV and press ON. you watch tv I have checked the functionality of the buttons and can only report that I could not use the EJECT button for the TV/DVD combo. But the TV has a built-in button on the side so nothing gets lost. EJECT on the remote seems silly as you still have to physically eject the disc to play another. I'm ordering my second remote control today! You can't go wrong with SmartBy! *I'm editing this after buying my second remote and now I can add that the OPEN/CLOSE button works instead of the EJECT option! Maybe EJECT works specifically with a separate DVD player? But overall a great product! I highly recommend it.
