Slightly thicker than a standard network cable, this Kensington laptop lock is portable, discreet and easy to use. The steel cable is strong and surrounded by a braided metal sheath covered in clear plastic. The connection between the cable and the lock is strong and secure. The cable rotates around the lock, making it very manoeuvrable and easy to use on your desk at home, at work or when traveling. Lock and side of my laptop. This keeps the lock from rubbing, scratching, bending, etc. on the side of my laptop. A key lock (as opposed to a combination) is handy, since I carry a key on my normal keychain and keep it in a safe place. I would recommend this item to anyone who wants to protect their laptop on a budget. I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 because it met my expectations for a laptop lock but didn't offer any amazing features or features that would surpass them.
